Lasting impressions

I was wondering who is #madeofgreat?
Made of great, is a person who left a lasting impression upon us, out of the hundreds of people we meet everyday, during the course of our life.

There have been many people with whom, I have spent some amazing moments, that have inspired me, encouraged me and made me think he/she is great. While pondering on who would be that #madeofgreat I thought about my 9th standard science teacher Tanu Miss, my own mother, Lavanya, my first mentor at the start of my career and was just scrolling my life over the people and incidents that impacted my life.

For me #madeofgreat is my 3rd standard class teacher Mrs.Mendes. A lady with saggy skin and wrinkles due to her age. Her hair cut short till her shoulders. Her small eyes. The vivid memories I have of her take me to the moment, when I was just a little girl, my small hands, wearing school uniform, sitting on the marble floor in the classroom while other students on the bench, over a huge chart paper, greater than my size and writing with Mrs.Mendes, alongside me.

Our school had recently introduced a policy of writing in print letters rather than cursive. Many students could not pick it up too quickly. I was the one who got acquainted to print writing easily and believe it or not, at that age, my handwriting was the best among my classmates or so Mrs. Mendes thought .
That is why, she chose me to write, a privilege, as the chart used to be displayed in the school lobby, where whole school could have a look at what 3rd A students presented.

Now, coming back to the moment I remember. I was writing very dedicatedly (privileged by the opportunity) where I was given a PEN to write. Writing with a pen was also new to us, because till second standard we used pencil. I was trying hard not to make any spelling mistakes as I knew the white eraser couldn't hide my mistakes. This would mean, I would have to strike a word off, which would have made the chart look dirty. But while writing, I did an error and I was too embarrassed and frightened by the rage, I may have to face now.

I told Mendes Miss I committed a spelling mistake and I will have to strike it out. Instead of shouting at me, she said,' it was alright' and she did something which I couldn't have guessed, ever. She brought a round blue colour thin thing to my notice and carefully started rubbing off my mistake. I could see the ink vanishing, although it left a blue tinge on the paper. It was an ink eraser! Who knew?

I was damn impressed by this new invention, which I saw. Also, I was thankful to Mrs.Mendes who didn't shout and politely rubbed off my other two mistakes, later again. After we finished, she showed the chart to whole class and put it on the school board with the help of those round pins. She even asked me, to mention my name at bottom. Few other teachers who noticed it, appreciated my job.

Now, I don't know exactly what was great in her. The invention she introduced me to, her kindness or her motivation but she left a lasting impression on me.

She became my favorite teacher and I her favorite student I guess. We also performed to a fairy dance wearing a white frock with layers, silver lining, silver wings, with a fairy wand in our hands on our annual day. She choreographed it and had selected that dress.

I remember I wrote my first Diwali card for her, with lotuses drawn on it because I could draw only a lotus properly. I wrote some message and gave the card to her and wished her Happy Diwali. We went to 4th standard and got a new teacher, new classroom. I used to watch her and wish her good morning whenever we came across each other whether in the lobby or staircase. But soon, she left school. I don't know where she is and how she is right now. But, she helped me build my confidence to a great extent. I remember I scored my career best 93℅ during my third standard itself. A great lady and my salute to her!

You might be thinking where did I come across #madeforgreat. I did when I visited  http://madeofgreat.tatamotors.com.

Lionel Messi has associated with Tata Motors. You probably must have already seen the advertisement.
"What do you think of Tata Motors' association with Lionel Messi?"

Romance

Romance..

This word itself, lights one up.

Lucky are the ones who get to experience that!

I am not an envious person in daily life, although, when I see a romantic gesture by some sweet guy for his girl, I feel a little bit of ' l want that!'.

Now, what's really romance ?

I am sure each individual will have their own definition. Be it the cliché  of candlelight dinner or the philosophical cooking and cleaning together.. Romance can be different for different people.

Some people say it with their eyes or gestures and some by their expressions and conversations.

I don't know why men or women sidetrack their romance.. It is as essential for a relationship as communication is.

Romance may have different meanings for different people but, just the thought of it, is amazing!

For all the lovely couples out there.. Don't let that romance go away from your lives!

Be it those sweet nothings, filmy dialogues, Little white lies or appreciatory notes..

Whatever it is which you like or your style is..

Keep that romance alive.

Say a little compliment to your partner or just pull their cheeks or kiss them on forehead once a while..

Take them for a drive or picnic or a surprise getaway.. Roses.. Lilies.. Reading a novel together or watching that new show on TLC..
Cycling together.. Or simply walking, hand in hand.. Feeling how lucky is to have that special person!

Showing love is really important.. Not always, will the idea of 'reading the eyes' work.

Don't take things for granted..

Enjoy it until it lasts.. Hope it lasts forever!

Small things.. Mood breakers - makers!

When we get upset on something or someone.. Be it bad news or things we didn't expect, happen.. These are the times when we go in the ' upset zone '. Nothing seems to rejoice us. No one seems to care. We need some kind words to cheer us up. But no one around, so close, to share, or whose words will have that effect.

We may overcome the biggest of shocks and bad news easily, but those small things.. Criticism or some other thing someone did, may affect us.

At that time, its not really others who can be of real help. Discussing it does lower the pain. At the end of it, it's our own mind whom we need to teach to overcome it. Forget that and move on. We know we will. Time is the best medicine and after a point that thing is irrelevant.
Yet, for those brief moments, maybe a single day, we have that thing bothering us at the back of our mind, spoiling our mood.

We try to gulp it in and make ourselves understand. Give a little pep talk or discuss with someone, just to get over it. How do some irrelevant things, which may not even matter to us, fill up our mind and get all the unnecessary attention?

How much ever we avoid, these things happen to one and all. Small things, take that smile down.. :( so small things, can also be the ones which can bring it back up :)

Be it listening to your favorite song, doing something what you like, a sweet compliment or just sleeping over it, makes us forget that little tiny thing which bothered us all day and we feel back to being me.

Funny! How some things become so important, for that frame of time.

Small things become large and doing other joyful small things make them tiny.

They may not go away completely. We learn our own way of dealing them, day to day.

Our mind's turmoil!

There are many times, when we feel things aren't going the way we want them to, we may self doubt ourselves or even start thinking, whether that's what is t for us.. whether we should just accept it.

We know, that, there is nothing in our hands and what has to happen will happen anyway. But  this feeling of helplessness and no control on our own life, makes us restless.

We keep going, work hard and try to the best of our abilities to make things happen, the way we would like. This feeling... doesn't leave us though. We keep wondering, how situations will turn or what we can do more to get it.

Sometimes, we just can't guess the answers. We fear the unfortunate and hope for the best. We may feel confused, hopeful, sad, happy, try to judge every situation as to whether it will lead to what we want or to the part, we don't even want to think about.

We may experience positive instances, sometimes, and be cheerfu,l while sometimes, be mystified and feel clueless. What has to happen will happen!
Yet, this turmoil of feelings, anxiety and excitement fills us up!

We don't know, if we should be optimistic or practical. We prepare ourselves for the worst, have a plan B and keep hoping for the best.

What has to happen will happen anyway!

All these thoughts, anxiety, excitement may seem worthless. Time...will give us answers.
Impatience.. Catches us.

All these thoughts, feelings although won't matter when the time comes..the result will decide how we will deal with the situation..

Yet, somehow these things what we feel are part of us. These... make us the 'person' we are.

What we care for, what we are passionate about, those things are going to be in our minds and we just can't help it.

So we shouldn't stop that. Just remember, believing in self, is what matters!

The result, whatever it turns out, we will accept and work our way with it. Dealing with the outcome will teach us many things, whether the result is positive or not.

We keep learning, keep believing and keep thinking!!

Dance Plus and Remo

It's Sunday again... me and mum spend the day watching Dance plus repeat episodes.

Dance plus, is really an amazing show with a format of teams and points. Semi final and showdown rounds in every show. We have the familiar faces: Raghav, shakti, dharmesh and remo. There is another mentor Sumit.. His work is very impressive.

There is no distinction of group, solo or duet and all perform to what they do best. Innovating their own style every time.

Remo D'souza: Pioneer of this show. I think he is a very genuine person. We saw him in DID and then he went on to direct ABCD and ABCD2. He judged Jhalak dikhlaja too, for some period and now he came up with this show with an amazing concept and atmosphere. We feel the positivity, while watching it. He encourages the participants. We have seen him work with the participants of DID. In ABCD there was salman, dharmesh, Raghav, jack, prince and so many others he has always supported and pushed. I see him living his dream.. The passion he has for dance and the importance he has bought to the table by his talent. He never lets things go out of hand or unfair. Sometimes, he even balances the score by giving an extra point, if he feels there is a less point from the mentor's side. There are times, when he takes those correct decisions when some contestant faces an injury or judgement on the toughest rounds, even when the same team is winning again. Justice prevails.

Competition with sportsmanship! Teams encouraging one another. Even other team mentors praising the competitor's contestant with what they deserve. Expressing your feelings in such a platform is very important and also is, expressing them right. All the judges do a splendid job, in the comments they give.

I used to watch Masterchef Australia and feel pleased, by the manner in which the judges and contestants encouraged the competition, in a healthy way. Keeping the passion alongwith innovation, every time. That thing, I see in this show too.

It's a show in which we see dance as a talent  with so much perfection and innovation. Opportunities to so many people who rightfully deserve it. Creativity at its best and the thirst for perfection. Some awesome performances may not get a perfect score, being true to judgement.

There is also creativity in which they promote their sponsors, amalgamation in the comments or in the cute cartoon characters they created for each contestant. It's so subtle. I applaud the creative team, for, they do a wonderful job.

Sometimes, Raghav just can't help himself but to dance. And it's breathtaking... Like it always has been. His work in DID juniors was also amazing,as a mentor himself. He is a full package with gags and his moves.

Overall an amazing show, the similar novelty I felt when DID started a few years back. It's so nice to see we humans encouraging each other and appreciation and entertainment. Their zeal to excel gives us 'awestruck' performances which we relish lying in our comfortable homes.

It's a good combination of entertainment, living the dreams; be it for remo, judges, participants, and opportunity to the well deserved. Kudos to the whole team of the show!

Reading Novels..

Novels..

I have been reading novels since a longtime now, and pretty often since past few weeks.

While travelling or during leisure time, it feels so good, to just tuck my head in and drift to another world.

I wanted to get rid of the touch screen phone and get hold of a book with actual pages. The touch of the pages, turning them and the smell of old/new book pages is just amazing!

I read a thriller,a bestseller and mills & boon books.. when the story unfolds.. the suspense of what happens next.. figuring out how the story unwinds.. living the lives of characters.

A book can make you feel the exact emotions and exhaust you with it too!

Some books may have everything from a protagonist point of view. While others, may show the point of view and background of all characters.

The way authors write and think.. Fiction.. as Reality.. is just breathtaking..!

Some or the other way we connect with the characters.. or try to compare.. Are we in some way or other, like that?

Reading novels lets you disconnect and connect to another world of imagination, emotions, characters.. It's like reading a dream.

Things they teach us.. and hope they generate!

The best part is connection.

The feelings we feel along with the characters. We empathise to them, sometimes feel pity or sad.
That feeling of feeling for fictional people, which the author brings, with his/her words goes to show us the strength of words. How, we, as human beings, can connect to the thoughts of strangers..!

Novels also become our mood lifters.. sometimes even diversions to our everyday worries.

It feels so fulfilling after we finish the book. I wonder how I didn't touch one for so many months!

Sometimes, the endings make us feel unsaturated, leave us with unanswered questions, later, we forget about it, just go to the next book. That's how life sometimes is, we may not get all the answers, but we keep writing and unfolding new chapters.

Keep Thinking!

Clothes...

Clothes.. Shopping.. Trends.. Fashion..

There was an instance in PK.. When he talks about how he finds it weird people wearing clothes and the definitions of male and female dresses.

Many men complain about the limited trends they have compared to women.. But also hesitate to try something new.

Stereotypes... Have always influenced our culture and society.

We can't imagine a guy wearing skirt but we have seen historic images of skirt type dresses for men and it's all normal in few European countries.

Pink.. Another stereotype.. Highly associated with girls was actually color for men and blue was for women as we have seen Cinderella wore a blue dress and not pink.

Clothes.. Not only they cover us up but also define our personality.

Sab mohmaya hai!!
But we be it men or women want to have lots of them.

I personally like to wear all kinds of dresses.. Sarees, chudidar, Kurtis, shorts, tops, trousers, shirts, 1 piece.. Just everything.

But while buying something there are two things.. 1st it should suit me and second, I  should feel myself. It should be a reflection of me. My various shades.

Well, also the value for cost!!

When we try something, we instantly know whether its for us or not. We feel happy and beautiful in it.  We think about its comfort and the occasions and places we could wear it.  With what top or bottom or accessory we will team it up. So many things we already think without realizing it.

There are people who over think it and take so much time to shop and even after buying it,  they may not be fully satisfied about it.

Many a times it does happen, we buy something which we like at that time but later don't even wear it more than once. When someone criticizes the piece of clothing, we throw it away from our eyes.

Clothes...

They do not define us.

It's we who define them and make them look better otherwise it is just a piece of cloth until, we wear it.
Feel good and comfortable in what you like to wear no matter what others say, it is you who is beautiful inside.

Fitness and Milind soman :*

Why I Run http://www.huffingtonpost.in/milind-soman/why-i-run_4_b_7869546.html

Milind soman who did a triathlon, many congratulations to you on this achievement!
Milind soman.. I love him. Adore him. My crush.. My McDreamy!!

I have always adored him since childhood. Of course, his looks... Oh so.. Charming.. Hot.. His face.. Body.. His voice.. The way he speaks!!!
I may not have seen all his movies. But 16 December and Rules pyar ka superhit formula are the two movies which I watch every time when they are running on TV just for him. To see him.. To hear his voice..

Watching him run in NDTV greenathon and Mumbai Marathon on TV.. Made me admire him even more.

In his blog, he talks about how liberating fitness is for him and I am glad he feels swimming, running and cycling are his ways to fitness rather then just the gym and building bulky bodies as the trend goes!

He also talks about how he does not like to be told things to do and rather feel on your own, be inspired and attracted to the right things on your own rather than being told.

Also the mental physical and spiritual balance which sports bring in our lives.

Cycling.. As I love it.. Always liberates me so I get it when he says what he means by liberating.
Its the open air... Motion.. Moving forward.. Which really frees you.. As if you are going ahead leaving all the things which hold you down...

That feeling of being on your own and carrying yourself... Being independent.. Sweating it out. Not polluting the air...  Its just amazing!

Fitness.. Be it by anyway.. Brings you closer to your own self. Knowing your own body and mind. Walk.. Run.. Swim.. Cycle.. Or yoga.. Don't pollute environment.

Keep thinking!! Keep fit.. Body, mind and soul. :)

Spending Me time!!

This whole week has been really busy and exhausting for me. Working on logic, meeting the deadlines, working continuously. Only at weekend, I got the Me.. Time.

Its Saturday..
Now what to do? Had been planning to go shopping for so long. Finally, got the time. So went shopping. Some trousers and shirts and tops! Then had some fulfilling kebabs...

Now that I had traveled so far.. Had to see the beach.

Watching the waves, cloudy sky, sitting on the stones, peace, calm! Felt really good!!!!

Traveled all the way back.. Too tired.. Gulped the food and fell asleep.

Sunday... Everything slow.. Lying on the bed even after waking up.. Breakfast.. Tv.. And then some personal grooming... Lunch.. Nap.. Movie.. Just relaxing!

Just being with self and not thinking also can be soothing!! So much fun...

I just love myself and need some pampering from me. :):):) that's really important for me. everyone.

Having that me.. Time..

Away from social media. Just zoning out sometimes. Be it reading a novel or shopping or just relaxing or maybe even doing chores or playing games.
Being with the best company.. You.
Feeling your own!
When we just keep running all week forgetting ourselves. We need that pamper..a hot shower.. to Stop running. And just be. Rejuvenate.

There will be another week of working long hours, doing what you always wanted to, taking those steps to where you want to go, being professional, making things happen and sometimes just belief!

Just go on and do that. But don't forget to spend those little moments, doing those things you like to do to show your love to self!

Watching T.V.

TV... Television.. Idiot box.. Or whatever you may call it. We watched daily while growing up and even now whenever we get a chance. It's our way of looking at the world. Different point of views, different shows, different people.. Diversity.

With the advent of social media and YouTube.. We may have decreased our watching but everyone loves to watch it lying on the bed or while eating food or just after a tiring day.

Be it enjoying world cup matches, Wimbledon, those fake reality shows, competitions, award shows, chat shows, movies, songs, series, programmes or dreaded serials.. We can watch them singly or with family.

It doesn't make us feel lonely. It makes us fight with siblings or other members for remote. Remote control is really an important invention alongwith TV. It made us lazy but also a multitasker.

It also gives us reasons for conversations.

Be it about the recent new show, scenes, Songs, our favorite Participants or movie stars. From the clothes they wear, to how they made us laugh, some shows teaching us how to survive, how things are made, some funny videos, brain games, promos, news, travel shows, food shows, fashion shows. So many things to watch!

The whole world at our fingertips!! And yet, sometimes its like there is nothing interesting to watch!

It's not really an addiction. We know we can live without TV. But the question is why would you want to?

If we don't like something which is shown.. We can easily choose not to watch it by switching the channel. Its really in our own hands.. Actually thumb. :)

We can watch educational shows and even entertaining ones. We can learn new things and explore them. It's a medium through which we come to know how each individual is different yet they come together to present us something with  such enthusiasm!

Be it dance shows or singing.. They not only entertain us but also make us want to dance and sing. And the TV series keep us engrossed in stories everyday as to what will happen next. And there are few which make me laugh so loudly!
Also, we get to watch loads of movies action, romance, comedy, thrillers and the mixtures of Hollywood Bollywood, regional and others.
We not only enjoy music  of many genres but also across borders. I listen to sonu nigam, atif aslam and akon too.

I have enjoyed sarabhai vs sarabhai, shriyut gangadhar tipre and even small wonder and friends with the same ease.

Disney channel india exposed us to so many fantastic shows like Lizzie McGuire, wizards of waverly place, that's so raven, Zack and Cody.
It really made my teenage years awesome!
Also, star one got us glued with Remix, Siddhanth,  special squad, instant khichdi, miley jab him tum and the epic sarabhai vs sarabhai.

And we keep wishing for more shows like these.

The reality shows.... Indian idol, dance India dance, jhalak dikhlaja, roadies, splitsvilla, sa re ga ma, so do you can dance, America's next top model, top chef, master chef india , Australia and USA and so many others.

TV shows...  friends, how I met your mother, grey's anatomy, house m.d.,two and a half men, two broke girls, the big bang theory and many others.
I may have not got the chance to enjoy these shows without TV.
There is you tube but a bigger screen and surround sound and the easy of just switching on!

Vasudhaiva kutumbakam. The whole world is one big family. TV signifies it..!

Online streaming Videos technology has improved a lot. It may even take over television some day. Many people who keep travelling will prefer that too. But this medium which gave us a total exposure, almost a leap. Visual and audio medium. From the black n white to color to HD. From the big boxes to LCD and LEDs. It has evolved and so is the content on it. It also shows how we have grown and changed and evolved as people.

It makes people famous!

There is so much content on it!! We just can't get enough of it.

It takes us in the world of its own. Away from all the worries and stress. It teaches us so many things. Develops our mind in many ways.

Too much of anything is bad. So can be TV.

Ignoring conversations for TV ain't a good thing.

And even not using our brains and just becoming an idiot without doing anything could interest us but is harmful. We could miss living our life being engrossed in this fictional world.

So we shouldn't make it a bad habit. But just take it easy and have a good past time.

Now, let me enjoy it.. And you too.

Standing up

We hear News about enforcement, harassment. In these cases, a person tries to trouble another person physically and emotionally. Many a times the culprit is an acquaintance.

People who see you daily or watch from far or maybe even speak to you. I just can't believe how anyone can think of hurting the person they like in some way. It is a state of mind of evil which finds pleasure in pain of other.

They may not be terrorists or killers but they sure do kill the life out of a human by not actually killing it.

Sometimes, I think. Why do anyone has to feel lifeless. Its just your body. Nobody can touch your soul or mind until you allow them too. But when someone takes away from you what's only yours, it can not stay away from touching your mind.

One rule should be universal.

No one has a right to trouble another life.

Freedom is what we live for. Freedom is what countries fought tirelessly to achieve. This freedom be it however, we may not make the utmost use of it, but when its mercilessly taken away from us, we cannot stand it.

If we are locked in an empty room we cannot stay in it for more than 45 minutes. Because we need to keep doing something.

If someone is troubling you in any way.. Be it your friend or colleague or relative or anyone. Try talking it out. Explaining them how their behavior hurts you. If they still can't avoid it. Don't let yourself stick in that situation. Just lose contact with that person or complain if necessary. No one has the right to force you for anything. Be it your spouse, parent or child.

What you internally do not believe in or are against. Don't do it. Don't let them do it.
Don't be scared of losing them or being attacked. If we show courage and stand up for ourselves then only we can be actually FREE.

It is difficult.
Even hard.
But we should do what we feel is right.
Because at the end of the day we have to live with our own self too right?
We should be able to forgive ourselves and not live in regret.

If we live a life on constant force. It will just not be worth living..

There may be many reasons for not standing up like hurting the person, fear of losing, fear of being alone, responsibilities, or even social pressure but there is only 1 reason for doing the right thing and its you.
.
Don't you love yourself that much that you will do something for yourself.

It's going to be difficult.
Even hard.
But it's for you. We should live for our own self.

Lying to self

There are many times when we lie to ourselves..

When we lose something we give hope to ourselves by lying. Saying that it will be alright. Things won't change. It won't affect us.. But we know things do change. Things have an effect on us be it passive.

There are times when we lie to ourselves to give us hope. Trying to be optimistic. Things we know won't happen. But we want them to. And we live in a false hope. Just to overcome the pain.

There are also times when we lie to ourselves. They are the times of compromise. Things we don't like. We do. Be it pretence in liking something for someone else or saying things they want to hear or thinking we are changing and liking things as time goes.

Lying is something superficial. Sometimes we may not even know we are lying or not, to someone as we may have been lying about it to ourselves for so long that we start believing it as true.

We feel by lying to ourselves we are becoming stronger. But, Lying doesn't just make us weaker in fact it mystifies things which were clear to us once.

Confusion increases when we lie to ourselves.

Sometimes we lie so much that it becomes a big maze for us with no way out.

For wiping things clear, for reviving this confusion, we need to first stop lying to ourselves.

When we start accepting the truth then only we can become strong. I won't call truth bitter as it is the perspective of someone which makes things bitter. In reality, truth gives us clarity. Truth gives us strength. When we accept it fully. It becomes our will. And we become free.

Lying may seem like the easy way out. But it's just an escape from non acceptance.

It's difficult to understand and accept the truth. But only truth can keep our beliefs strong. And give that strength we need and we should possess.

Knowing and accepting the truth are two different things. Sometimes we just know things but we have our own way of accepting.

Just think next time is it the truth you are accepting or the false part.

Saying byes...

Putting off the phone while a nice conversation is on.. And need to put it out just because of some other thing to do is really disappointing.
After a talking for so long, still feel like 5 more minutes. Still 5 more minutes!

After a spending lot of time together when we reach that point maybe at station or at the point when we have to part our ways. We stay there standing for hours talking to each other until someone either calls us or we realize its too late already.

Leaving that moment, those talks which feel like they should go on. Just being together for as long as possible. That feeling of 'I have to say bye now but I don't want to' is undesirable yet it makes us realize how much we mean to each other.

Once someone said to me 'I look very ugly when I am leaving!'. It took me sometime to figure it was a compliment!

Living in the moment is feeling alive.

And letting these moments go is heartbreaking.

Time goes so fast and you keep wanting for more.

Einstein's theory of relativity!

But those moments you don't want to let go are the most special ones. So keep'em alive by thinking about them. And those memories you can relive again and again. Be it happy or sad or funny or angry or quiet or all of them. These small moments in which actually feel alive make our life. So live those moments fully. Without thinking about it's time to go or anything else. Just be there completely!

Maybe that moment won't come again. Life goes on. We feel there is lot of time in our hands but it is slipping every second. We can only catch it if we stay completely in those moments. Life may not give you a second chance. So whatever it is do it and live it today!

Cloudy Morning!

It's Friday.. And I was asked to come in the morning shift today. Getting up at 6 am after doing evening shifts everday! I slept earlier than usual yesterday and got up on time.

My eyes opened to the sound of alarm not realizing at first what time is it.. Seemed very dark. Then I remembered. It's morning shift.

Quickly got up, put the water on heat. Now, that's one thing I usually do. Heat up the water for bath, be it any season.

After a quick shower. Got ready. Realized no one home for a drop. Quickly deided have to eat something. Feeling too hungry. Grabbed a bite. Put my bag on the shoulder. Closed the door. After stepping out, I noticed it had just rained. After coming out the gate, it was still raining. Drizzling!!

Soft soft rain drops falling over me. I am in my casuals so not worried about clothes getting wet. Fragrance of wet mud, leaves fill me up. I start walking on the wet roads. Looking at the sky, completely gray. Shops all closed. Not many people or vehicles on the road. A very good morning walk! I could hear the birds chirping.. Cuckoo, sparrows, and crow. For some reason I never hated the sound of crow.

The air so fresh! Temperature low.
For a person, who gets out in scorching heat everyday, after this long summer, this was so soothing.
The drizzling rain added to the beauty. After about 10mins I reached my stop. Made it to the bus on time.
And now, writing my thoughts on this beautiful cloudy morning!

Welcome rains!

Chocolate in chocolate, ice cream, cupcake, slice cake, cake, pastry.

Chocolate is the most satiating thing to have!

I am a die heart lover of chocolates. Especially, the milky chocolates with the correct blend of sweetness and creaminess. The ones which do not stick to your teeth, just melt in your mouth. Taste sweet not bitter. Chocolate is really a mood reviver. Also, chocolate ice cream is another option. When it comes to beat the heat and quench your craving for sweetness. A chocolate ice cream is the best! I don't know why I would try any other flavor if I am getting chocolate!

Chocolate is also known to be your substitute for sex! Imagine the level of satisfaction it must provide ;) :p

Be it a very emotional period you are going through or the achievements you wanna celebrate or just a casual walk.. A chocolate ice cream would always be the best company to be with.

Indulging yourself you can never do it fully without chocolate in it!

Adding the chocolate syrup in milk everyday or pouring it over the vanilla ice cream, pastry or any other sweet you are having. Chocolate adds another dimension to the dish. It's like the tomato sauce of sweets! :):):)

I know a few people who aren't fans of chocolates but then there are also people who hate the rain or movies or pretty dresses.

Enjoying yourself to the fullest by indulgence, you can only do when you love something truely.

Whatever you like eating, or doing, go, like it a little more and enjoy it the way you do it, while eating a chocolate cupcake or a simple chocolate slice cake.

Umm.. It melts as soon as it touches your tongue.

Well, even after being a chocolate lover, I will have my very specific likes and dislikes. Like, I don't like peanut butter, so no chocolates containing that.
Absolute No to Ferraro Rocher.

But more yeses to five star, gems, milk chocolate, melody, those box of milk chocolates you get as a gift (like in the image above) and many other.

Just feel happier with every bite you take and feel the sweetness in your tongue.

And yes, I am the person who will drink hot chocolate in a coffee shop. Indulging in chocolate is safer and healthier than coffee!

Keep eating more chocolate stuff just don't forget to rinse after you have it. Regular visits to dentist and you are sorted!

Keep indulging in what you like and remember to like it even more every time you have it!

Avatar

Avatar is on TV. I watch it every time it's running. Saw twice in theater before. Still couldn't get enough of it.
I remember as a child I used to feel I went into another world after I fell asleep. While watching Avatar it felt my imagination turned into reality.

It's not just a movie. It's an experience.

Avatar takes us in a new world of connections. Tsehelyu-the bond. The trees, plants, horses, birds, dogs, insects, flowers, fruits.
Pandora. Floating mountains, home tree, eywa.
It's so interesting to see how each and every living being is connected with one another.
Choosing your own Ikran to fly and he chooses you. Flies all its life with only one master.
What a thought!

Neytiri - the female lead. She is my favorite character in the movie. I am in love with her. Her personality. The way she teaches Jake, is betrayed, gets angry, fights so bravely till the very extent, hates Jake and loves him. I wondered who played her character in real as avatars were derived from humans.
It was Zoe saldana. Apt!

What touched me the most was the background score especially when the home tree falls. It brings a very sad feeling. A losing feeling. Feels awful. Touches your heart... that tune!

Sometimes you need to do the most insane thing. Toruk makto!!!

It's funny how by the end of it we are against our own species and feel like Avatar. The journey is so well portrayed to us. Seems so real. The glowing land in the dark. Every detail captured so accurately.
An experience of a lifetime. I wonder how technology and human brain can be so powerful to engage us and make us feel emotions. Through music, visuals and a storyline.
I am glad there wasn't a book I read about Avatar before watching the movie. I could experience every bit of it.
Avatar teaches us how to live. To work in teams, protect nature, celebrate life, fight for what is right is Right. It gives us hope, dream and imagination. Makes us sad, happy, angry, broken, wonder, fight, fall, win.
A movie like no other movie. An experience of the fictional reality. A perfect world you want to be born in. Want to fly. Want to live.
A liberating feeling towards the end. An emotional journey. Great piece of art!

Moonlight.. on full moon night

While coming back home tonight I couldn't get my eyes off one thing that was shining brightest in the sky.. The Moon.

Its full moon night and moon seemed so big and near to the earth. I could see the craters so clearly on it's surface.

So bright, cool, big and wonderful the moon is!

I could just go on and on staring at it. The way its light brighten the night sky. Its light reflecting on the clouds. Giving the clouds a shadowy effect.

The moon is a great companion for travel. You can just look and even talk to it and share your deepest thoughts.

Maybe imagine someone else looking at it , at the same time, smilingly. Or, asking the moon, if it could see that someone.

The full moon took away the darkness and spread cool in this otherwise hot weather.

Beautiful and calm. It's been always there watching you grow since you were a tiny tot. Wherever you go it followed you. Like a friend who never leaves your side. Like the best listener it listens to your every word constantly looking into your eyes.

Hides in the clouds and comes up bright again.

Its just so much fun looking at the moon and clouds and stars. Things we don't notice lie just above our heads. Showing us how tiny we are compared to the whole wide world.

Our problems, our issues which we make so big are just so small compared to the vastness of the universe. We just need to look up once in a while to know how small we really are.

Compliment you

What is it about compliments which we always seek for?

Compliments is what everyone likes and desires.

Why are we so desperate to hear them?

Is it just the words which we want to hear or we want to feel appreciated. Be it for looks, clothes or work we do we feel delighted when someone says even the slightest of a complimentary mark.

I think it's about the individuality in us individuals which wants to be noticed.

Many a times who it comes from doesn't matter but for what it does matters.

While some other times, we long to hear those sweet words from that one person and everyone else seems to be noticing it but him/her.

Be it a new hairstyle, new pair of jeans you bought or the new song you learned to play. We want someone to say its nice or looks superb.

What's the fun of shopping if no one knows its new!

Although each one of us smile the brightest when someone says a kind word but for others, even when we do,it may not be direct.
Gossiping behind your back and appreciating too behind your back.

Why don't we say upfront and make each other's day!!

Many a time we notice there is something different or that shirt really suits your friend but won't say out loud.

Why do we not be loud about the good things..?

Well in the movies its the lyricist who give words to those feelings. We cannot be poetic but still take some inspiration.

Expressing in just emojis is becoming the new trend.

Language is the best invention by man I believe.

Use of words really touches heart.
We feel them deeper and remember longer.
So go ahead add more words to your monosyllabic sentences. Express a little more and feel a lot more.

Sunday today :)

I have been thinking.... About many things.. Many a times... So this is my medium to put forward my thoughts about thinking things!!!

Today is Sunday. Holiday.

What are Sundays supposed to be for?

What do we do on Sundays?

We think about this day all days of the week. About doing things we want to do on Sunday but what do we really end up doing?
Just managing to switch on TV and lying all day long in bed. Well that sounds a perfect Sunday for me!!

Doing chores, pampering yourself by maybe a good long shower bath in hot water, going for a walk in the evening, pondering things of how life is shaping up for us, catching up with friends, spending time with family or friends or just our own little self!!

Sundays give us that much needed sleep, breakway  from mundane and actually redeem ourselves to be and do things better this week. Its the start of a week. A beginning. A day were we just engage busy completing chores or lazying around, but it's a day which let's us be us in our real pajamas or shorts self were we are our own.

A day we await longingly.. A day so important that without it.. We cannot imagine life.

So go ahead.. Live it up your Sunday..!! Be yourself. Love yourself. Keep thinking!!!
